#SaintsFC - Control the controllables. A rare lefty in the South of England.
Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end....
@TheLondonLifer@MattHookway@Boro_Breakdown Glad you enjoyed your day at Wembley, genuinely. I still don't really understand why so many Boro fans are still bothered by this matter anymore after being reinstated. There's nothing more for them to gain and will be to the benefit of most of we can draw a line under it all.
@TheLondonLifer@MattHookway@Boro_Breakdown I do accept that the club breached he regulations and my personal view is that I would've sacked Eckert and started afresh for next season. The club have decided against that for the moment and I do understand their reasoning as they feel the punishment has already been done.
@TheLondonLifer@MattHookway@Boro_Breakdown That's like saying we both drowned but Boro paid for a ticket on the Titanic. In essence, they gain the square root of naff all.
@JamiePinner Amazes how fans of other clubs seem to be suggesting that #saintsfc fans aren't outraged at our club. We are. The vitriol from, some, Boro fans and their journalists, was over the top, despite our club breaking the rules. Both things can be true.
@MattPB_ Yet without Saints, Boro wouldn't have been in the final yesterday nor had the opportunity to be the first team in play-off history to lose in the semi final and final. Strange game eh...
@gregvul@AlfieHouseEcho Reflection of his continuing ambivalence, naivety or arrogance that he hasn't resigned himself. To preserve some of his reputation in the game, he should've done the honourable thing by now.
@James_Pompey_@jimmyleeknight It isn't actually. They breached regulations. 'Cheating' is a loaded word used by people to create drama. Again, thanks for your considerable concern. Nice to know we are at the forefront of your mind.
One last tweet about #boro. There's a noticeable and perverse irony, amongst the vitriol and abuse from some, that they should be grateful to #saintsfc and Tonda (&co.): without them, they would have no shot at the PL. In footballing terms, they are inferior to the opposition.
For the sake of his own career, Tonda should resign. Spors either follows suit or will need to do a full address to explain his role/awareness of the affair. Parsons needs to go away and learn how to communicate. Solak must be disgusted. A mess. #saintsfc
@MarkDavies67 'so serious is the offence'. In whose mind? Genuinely feel most objective football fans won't care. We are talking about people watching part of another club's training session. This is not that serious. But, we'll agree to disagree, I'm sure.
All the best Mark.
@MarkDavies67 Hmm. Not quite. However, if you take your analogy, the punishment for 'attempted' murder, whereby the harm is significantly less than 'murder', would also be, rightly, less severe.
Can't have it both ways. Nevertheless, the whole thing is a mess.
@dharvey4 Other than the club did it two seasons ago, in the same division with a totally different manager and coaching team. 25 games in that season. Don't let the truth get in the way of a 'good' tweet.
@MarkDavies67 The EFL have now, inadvertently, created a situation where Hull are actually disadvantaged, despite being the only side to get to the final in the correct way. That needs to be recognised and I think there's a strong case to scrap the final altogether and promote them.
