fellow deakinite here thinking of #alm101 and everyone affected. hitting very close to home.
your emotions are valid, no matter how complex they may be. let yourself feel them + talk to a professional if needed. trauma + grief are tricky beasts and can manifest in different ways
Past Deakin DM student here. I just want to offer condolences to anyone struggling with todays news. Please look out for each other and remember to step away from your devices if needed. Don’t be afraid to ask for extensions.. they’re there for a reason #ALM101
@EmilyAtDeakin Hi Emily,
I just wanted to reach out to let you know that I’m thinking of you. As a past DM major, I’m in shock myself and cannot imagine how you, other students and faculty are feeling. Please take care of yourself as well. All the best.
@MifrahAtDeakin Thanks Mifrah! It’s a shame I haven’t been able to tune in live for seminars but am grateful for your prompt responses to my emails this trimester. :) You’ve made it easy to keep updated from afar

it really sucks to only see autistic people talking about sia’s movie. that movie has a scene of prone restraint that is portrayed as the correct way to handle meltdowns. THIS WILL GET AUTISTIC PEOPLE KILLED. please stand up for us and with us. please.
@Menulog An investigation is open. No proof that anything is being done. No record + am not privy to an outcome for ‘driver privacy’. You don’t have to give names. Do something to prove you’re a decent company. Ensure he won’t enter my home again. Start driver ratings like @UberEats
@AlbansCc@Menulog 100% crime supported. We had a driver trespass into our home and they can’t even confirm that he won’t deliver to us again if we order through them. Why would we want to use their voucher and risk that?
@Menulog The last response I had is from HO Thomas Palmer who made it clear that you wont refund unless I contact the police. I can’t even get confirmation that the driver won’t deliver to me due to privacy laws. Glad that your trespasser’s privacy is covered, can’t say the same for us!
@RachaelAtDeakin@digitalzones Yeah, I’ve definitely found that the video quality doesn’t translate as well as a downloadable one. I tried to compile some clips earlier and the screen recorded ones had a glitch that I couldn’t seem to remove. Thank you both for the clarification! 🙂
#ALM102@RachaelAtDeakin@digitalzones Hi guys, I’m having some trouble with CC content on Vimeo and wanted to get some clarification. I’ve been limiting the search to CC BY and finding some great content but many videos don’t give me the option to download. (Cont. in comments)
There are websites that download them for you and also the option of screen recording, but I’m not sure if the content is allowed to be used even if it is on there under a CC BY license?
