I’m hosting a few 10-ish person dinners at my place in SF in November with friends who are independent creatives. Designers, musicians, film makers, photographers, models, and other artists.
Anyone looking for this side of San Francisco DM me for an invite
I wanted to keep my chat history and connection data private and have flexibility as models evolve. I couldn’t find a nice all-in-one agent with an iOS app as elegant as ChatGPT, so I built one.

Once the desired state is defined, we can swap models, change routing strategies, add or remove tools, or restructure the agent without changing the thing we're ultimately optimizing for.
This is the part of job-driven design I've found most useful. Agent implementations change constantly. Models improve. Tools get replaced. Routing strategies evolve.
The job gives us something stable to optimize against.
Critique is uncomfortable, but I find it helpful to think about how someone whose opinion I respect is taking the time to give me information that I can use to improve. Honesty is caring. Agreeableness is pleasant.
@FReza1984 I think getting this right could make it easier for founders to find market fit, imagine if just 1% of people could confidently state what they wanted. Clarity allows for more reliable expectations and trust, which makes organizing effort easier
I think personal AI agents will be transformational when they help us make better choices. We built a personal version of Tonic around that idea.
Give it a goal. It works with you to break it down, think through your options, and build a strategy for getting there.
AI that helps you exercise better judgment, not outsource it.

I think an agent-native declarative language is the next step. If agents are writing the code, why make them operate at human abstractions?
Give them a higher-level language and compile it down.
UI frameworks like https://t.co/p6Avv64HXT, shadcn, and SwiftUI already show how componentized software is.
we’re all coming from different levels of ignorance. to have a discussion, shouldn’t the only requirement be rationality...assuming empathy is a factor in reasonable thinking?
tiktok is crazy bc a 16 yr old who’s failing science will convince me that bouncing my leg is a sign that im neurodivergent, have ADHD, and possibly gay
In the rush of work I missed the news that Lawrence Ferlinghetti passed last week. Beyond his writings and City Lights, his passion will continue to inspire—he published his most recent book last year at age 101. Rest In Peace
