@bigheadSmith Still think Michkov ends his career the better player, but looking back I don’t know if I would take Michkov even if knew that. Highly doubt the friendship with Celly and Michkov would be close to what it is with Smith. Chemistry and good team morale goes a long way.
@knecktshark @gage_emerson8@Real_Max_Miller Just rough because of how loved Zetts was here, but realistically sharks need to make some way for the prospects coming in. But everyone is acting like we traded away Smith or Celebrini, gotta keep having faith in Grier here
@CommonBayTakes@Sheng_Peng I agree with you that I don’t like the NMC, but that was probably the biggest stipulation for him to sign. The Sharks needed to hit the floor and they did. Any longer than 4 years I’d see a big issue with it. But having someone like him to improve the PP helps a lot.
@CommonBayTakes@Sheng_Peng Which is going to happen, people who think Smith is going to play 82 games this year are being too optimistic. He will likely split time within the NHL/AHL and then the Sharks will call up other prospects to get some NHL time in as well. It’s coming together but not overnight.
@CommonBayTakes@Sheng_Peng There’s no long rebuild narrative? The sharks build their prospect system well enough but these guys need to develop. Don’t understand the assumption here. Why rush guys into a spot they aren’t ready to play in yet and stunt their growth.
@CommonBayTakes@Sheng_Peng Considering the sharks are still 3-4 years away from even being anywhere close to contending I don’t see the issue. Most guys on this current roster are going to get flipped. So what’s the problem with getting a proven goal scorer to help out the READY prospects?
