@john_grono @simonmaechling DDT was ‘banned’ for environmental reasons-it reduced the thickness of egg shells and there was a consequence for wild bird populations. DDT was fed to volunteers in American prisons to determine its tox safety. Its use probably saved’000’s of lives from insect borne diseases.
