Right now, in response to the call by Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, Iranians are gathering in front of the United Nations in Geneva and in cities around the world under the slogan “A Nation Held Hostage.”

These protests are a direct response to the Islamic Republic’s systematic repression: nationwide internet shutdowns, arbitrary detentions, torture, enforced disappearances, and the industrial-scale use of executions as a mechanism of political control.

The Islamic Republic is not a normal state facing isolated crises; it is an authoritarian system structurally dependent on violence, censorship, and fear for its survival.
Decades of appeasement and diplomatic normalization have only emboldened its machinery of repression.

When the international community continues to engage this regime without consequences, it sends a dangerous message: that the lives of Iranian citizens are negotiable!
The Iranian people are demanding neither symbolic statements nor managed reform , we are demanding the end of a system built on impunity.
