The Lands Minister wants to table a new mining law that decentralizes licensing to the districts. The same districts that are already struggling to control illegal mining? The same districts where galamsey remains rampant? The same districts that have been accused of enabling illegal mining?

The atronsu 5 have not done anything but protect their waterbodies from environmental terrorism. They are not criminals. Their only crime was protecting the Atronsu landscape and the Nana Atronsu stream, the only source of drinking water in the community from illegal mining. The spokesperson for the ministry of lands claims in an interview with Channel One Tv there have been engagements with the attorney general to drop the case because it lacks merit so why was it adjourned again?. 👨🏾‍🍳🇬🇭: LOL! Have you seen a political party protest before? The NDC held an #EnoughIsEnough demo few days prior to #ReOccupyJulorbiHouse; did you not see the numbers? Did you not see the mammoth crowd? Can you compare that to that of the just ended #StopGalamseyNow protest?

You think if we had the crowd of the NDC, the police will be able to pick people up easily? If we had the resources of the NDC, do you think lawyers will be offering pro bono services? Do you think funds would be raised to facilitate the essentials for detained protesters? Do the effects of galamsey happen to only NDC members?
