Seems a rather apparent flaw in the supposed independence of branches. From a layman’s perspective and assuming we’re building the constitution from scratch, why not have the justices be elected positions but only by lawyers?

Para matiyak ang independence ng Supreme Court, hindi dapat ang Presidente ang nag-a-appoint sa justices. Hindi rin dapat presidente ang nag-a-appoint sa members ng independent constitutional bodies tulad ng COMELEC.
