🧵People don’t care that a rich man is a predator, a liar, a bigot & a dolt.
Some rationalise their choice on “economy” or 🙄 “family values” but really:
He hates the same people they do - and that’s the draw.
Trump voters will celebrate, but they’ll learn… he hates them too.
Losing Janey is a heartbreaking one, but there’s no time to fuck about. It’s now our job to call Trump a c*nt at any given opportunity.
A little tribute from me, some random idiot that was shocked to find she was following me when I first started making video content during lockdown.
For some reason Scottish comics seem to like me, I think it’s all the fucking swearing. Janey was always very supportive of my content, I was amazed when I discovered her following me in my early days of Twitter because her videos were comedy gold. As a proud independence supporter she fucking hated the Tories too, she knew what it was like to grow up poor, she was also open about the adversity she’d faced. I admired and respected her very much.
Janey was hilarious, her voiceovers of the pandemic briefings brought people a bit of hope at a truly miserable time. She was kind and always stuck up for those being treated terribly, especially the trans community and consequently faced vile trolling from vicious transphobes online even as she lay dying in a hospice because there is no low those people won’t stoop to.
She clearly had a strong disdain of injustice evident in how open and vulnerable she was about things she’d faced in her life including abuse. She’d go on to find the unbelievable courage to fight to get her abuser jailed only for the judge to give him a paltry two years. She was also open about the awful murder of her mother. Her material actually even left her homeless when she poked fun at her in laws. Her book and documentary is a story of survival and overcoming unimaginable horrors.
Undeterred she joked about abuse, her in laws allegedly being connected to criminals, her mum being murdered, her chaotic upbringing. Even when other comics told her she shouldn’t.
She was fearless to the end. She lived life on her own terms until the end. She refused to be silenced until the end, like a fucking legend.
Now if you’ll excuse me I’m off to have a big ugly cry.

@daemonsmatt Thank you Jeje. You’ve been an absolute joy and I feel sorry for anyone that has sent any response that isn’t positive. I hope you continue when you’re ready.
