Years ago, when I was working as a tour guide in archaeological areas, I led an activity for tourist groups in the ancient city of Babylon, which was "experiencing Sumerian cuneiform writing on clay tablets."
This took place between 2020 and 2021.
A photo from 1974 shows Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan in one of the historic mosques in Baghdad.
His facial expressions show a state of astonishment and great interest as he listens to an explanation given by one of the figures. I believe this historic mosque is the Caliphs' Mosque,
A cuneiform tablet of the goddess Inanna placed on a chair made of palm fronds, which is a local traditional craft that, unfortunately, has been dying out, as most of the craftsmen who used to practice it have passed away.
The entrance to the Khan Al-Shilan Museum in the ancient city of Najaf.
This building was constructed in 1896 and completed in 1899 to serve as lodging for visitors to the city. However, the Ottoman government at the time seized it, and it became their headquarters.
My autograph of the #cuneiform inscription stamped on the bricks:
The first one dates back to the Hammurabi period from the city of Ziblanum, during the Old #Babylonian period.
The second one belongs to the reign of Nebuchadnezzar II, during the Neo-Babylonian period.
