It is estimated that there are presently about 623 unresolved banking disputes worth UGX2 trillion before Uganda’s Commercial Court.
Behind these numbers are frozen assets, stalled businesses, constrained lending, and a rising cost of credit that affects every borrower.
In this opinion @PhillipKarugaba and @pturinawe1 of ENSafrica Uganda argue that this is not just a legal bottleneck, but a structural economic problem—and make the case for why Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) could unlock capital, reduce litigation delays, and transform access to credit in Uganda.

Integrity isn’t optional - it is the foundation.
For @jrkyanda, professionalism, transparency, and accountability are what give real estate its long-term credibility. Over 25 years, @knightfrankug has helped transform a once-informal sector into one defined by standards, systems, and trust - proving that valuation integrity is not just good practice, but essential for sustainable growth.

Listening to Dr. James Mwangi, Group CEO of Equity Bank Plc, articulate the future of Africa’s economy and financial systems is both grounding and inspiring. The data is clear and the direction is irreversible….(very brilliant man)
By 2050, Africa will account for 26% of the world’s population and an estimated 36% of the global workforce. This is not a demographic footnote; it is the single most important shift in the global political economy of the 21st century.
What this means is simple but profound: the largest consumer market, labor pool, and innovation frontier will be African. Capital, production, technology, and ideas will increasingly flow toward where people, productivity, and demand converge.
Africa’s future growth will not be accidental. It will be driven by financial inclusion, digital transformation, human capital development, and institutions that understand the continent from within precisely the vision being advanced by African-led financial systems.
The narrative of scarcity is giving way to one of scale and opportunity. For investors, policymakers, and global businesses, the message is unmistakable: Africa is no longer the market of tomorrow it is the market that will define the global economy.
The future is African and it is fundamentally optimistic.@UgEquityBank@KeEquityBank
