Despite #Iran’s willingness for diplomacy and dialogue, and their commitment to abide by all non proliferation frameworks, the #US led by #Israel’s premier war criminal chose to attack Iran, killed their leadership, notably their Supreme leader #AyatollahKhamenei, and his family. My condolences are with the great Iranian nation and the followers of the Supreme leader. It’s a sad day not only for Iranians and for the #Islamic world but also for the international legal system which has been ransacked, pillaged and destroyed by the very powers that created it.

The SpecialCommittee for #Gendermainstreaming visited the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against #Harassment (FOSPAH) where were briefed about the working of the secretariat. The recent strong orders even to the extent of dismissing and terminating high officials implicated in harassment of women passed by the #Ombudsperson are commendable. The #FOSPAH requires further budgetary strengthening and a revisit of some legal provisions of the anti-harassment law which we promised to take up in our committee.
