The President of the Republic of Rwanda, H.E. Paul Kagame, has arrived in Dar es Salaam for a one-day working visit to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

At the Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar Es Salaam H.E. President Kagame was received by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo and other government senior officials.

H.E. Kagame is expected to meet with his host, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, at the State House in Dar es Salaam.

The visit is expected to reinforce the strong and historic ties between the two neighboring countries. This cooperation has continued to grow in recent years through the Joint Permanent Commission (JPC), with Tanzania remaining among Rwanda’s top three global trading partners. Trade between the two countries has been increasing annually.

In terms of investment, from 1990 to March 2026, Tanzania has registered 42 investment projects from Rwanda valued at USD 325.53 million, creating 2,225 jobs across various sectors, including manufacturing, transport, financial services, natural resources, and tourism.

Also, Tanzanian investors have invested in Rwanda through various companies, including Bakhresa Group, Magodoro Dodoma, Discount Center, Jambo Plastic, Sagar Enterprises, Buffalo Travelling Tours, Maxcom Africa, Gasabo Grain Milling Company, LCM Delta Company, and Metrex Integrated Consultancy.

President Kagame has arrived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania for a one-day working visit. President Kagame and his host President @SuluhuSamia of the United Republic of Tanzania are now having tête-a-tête meeting which will be followed by a joint press conference.

@ali_naka Belgium and other Western countries should know that Rwanda and Rwandans led by our president HE Paul Kagame, will not tolerate anyone who tries to violate our sovereignty. We are no longer in the colonial era! Period.

Beyond the insults, Flanagan should ditch the god complex – she did not create the President of Rwanda. She really also may want to choose better sources if she wants this story to stick. No one is ever going to change the facts about Rwanda’s progress and legitimate concerns – let alone the likes of Rudasingwa, a RNC terrorist by day and conman by night, or Wrong (Karen) the racist, who believes all Rwandans are liars. Rwanda is unapologetic about protecting what we Rwandans have worked so hard to build together.
