On June 27, East Baton Rouge voters will have the opportunity to vote on a crucial issue that will impact the future of our community - whether or not to sustain a tax that supports our local library system, Council on Aging, and BREC Parks and Recreation. As a resident of East Baton Rouge, I urge my fellow citizens to vote yes to sustain this tax and continue to support these vital community resources.
Our local library system plays a crucial role in providing access to information, education, and resources for residents of all ages. From children attending storytime to adults researching job opportunities or pursuing their hobbies, our libraries are a valuable resource for everyone in our community. By voting yes to sustain this tax, we can ensure that our libraries continue to provide these essential services and continue to be a cornerstone of our community.
The Council on Aging also plays a critical role in supporting our elderly population, providing vital services and resources to help seniors maintain their independence and quality of life. By voting yes to sustain this tax, we can ensure that the Council on Aging has the funding it needs to continue providing these important services to our elderly residents.
Lastly, BREC Parks and Recreation are a vital part of our community, providing opportunities for recreation, fitness, and leisure for residents of all ages. From playgrounds and sports fields to walking trails and community centers, BREC Parks and Recreation offer something for everyone. By voting yes to sustain this tax, we can ensure that these facilities continue to be well-maintained and accessible to all members of our community.
In these challenging times, it is more important than ever to support the resources and services that make our community strong. By voting yes to sustain this tax, we can ensure that our libraries, Council on Aging, and BREC Parks and Recreation continue to thrive and serve the needs of all East Baton Rouge residents. I urge my fellow citizens to join me in voting yes on June 27 to support these vital community resources .

CA election systems have safeguards against this.
They keep track of the # of returned ballots. They physically keep the signed security envelopes.
There are election observers in the counting centers.
