But for example, in Iran, I know many families that are multigenerational irreligious, like everyone is ex Muslim from the grandparents to the kids. Haven’t seen that among Arabs or Pakistanis, which is why I say they’re more religious

For example if an Arab believes that cutting hands for theft is acceptable, but doesn’t pray, that would seem quite religious to me
