@Hermesparcels Your courier delivered my parcel to someplace else. It says it was signed for by me, which was not and that is not my signature on the delivery tracking. What can I do now?
THE SCRIPT FOR TODAY:
"How was your Christmas?"
"Fine thanks, you?"
"Yeah fine thanks. Good New Year?"
"Yeah, y'know, fine. You?"
"Yeah fine."
"Well, good catching up."
"Yeah, you too."
Now repeat with sixteen different people.
Twenty years ago I was 15 years old and thought that the arrival of year 2000 was something amazing. It’s now #2020NewYear and the number feels surreal. Happy New Year 🎊 🍾!!!
@Carly_Solstice Oh, you are so not alone. My husband thinks I’m a bit crazy, but I don't care, there will be no big or bright lights in our home. I even installed some lamps in the kitchen to avoid having the big lights on when I cook. And watching TV with the big lights on? Blasphemy.
@OmahaCopywriter That sounds about right. It took me 5+ years to get to charge the rates in the last two brackets, but I’m pretty sure I could've asked for more earlier.
@gracievictor1a I’ve been working round Christmas time for years. Best way to get out of meeting with extended family members you don’t really fancy seeing. 😂
@AndymCopywriter I wrote for £0.03 per word for a couple of months back in 2008 when I was a complete newbie. It was mostly SEO stuff and I didn’t know any better. Sadly, there are still people who don’t value writers and writers who accept these rates even after years in the business.
A former client from the days I was writing for less than my worth contacted me to get 40,000 words for $800 ... by next Monday. He was a bit offended when I politely declined. He was genuinely surprised I wouldn’t drop everything to jump at the “opportunity.” #KnowYourWorth
Is Thursday morning a good time to learn more about SEO stuff? #ThursdayThoughts
