I fear they will have "won" because their imagination, and their ability to harness the psychodynamics of our people and theirs, surpassed ours. I fear it still does. You can't fight psychology with physical action. #emotionalliteracy#September11

Is there a systemic force against creativity in the socio-political-educational-religious arenas? We crave new medical treatments, new tech, and new space exploration. But we don't crave new insights that are accompanied by the need to change.
In 2016, we invited students from Hunter College High School and the Street Squash enrichment program to meet and study the works of Nobel Peace Prize nominee Dr. Vamik Volkan. The students' essays were compiled into the E-Book “Divides.” https://t.co/tqu2JLSK5E #vamikvolkan
If you demand racial, economic, and social justice, you must also offer psychological justice. We can't help being who we are & we can't change without motivation, empathy, insight, and a path forward. Labels like "lowlife idiot!" are offensive and wrong.
It would be easier to address problems of pre-judgment if we remove labels that end in "ist" and "ism". Instead of yelling "that's racist!" or "you're antisemitic!" try putting what you're thinking into more nuanced language that the other person could begin to understand.

I want to start tweeting again, but it’s hard when genuine questions are typically reacted to as if they’re opinionated answers. E.g What did/does the Trump phenomenon represent for American society at this moment in time?
Our June 5 Dialogue is now on YouTube. In a thoughtful, far-reaching discussion, four panelists from across the political spectrum share ideas on how to make a more accurate, accessible, trustworthy, and FAIR registration and voting system. https://t.co/MEPrpYfkiE
Join us for the follow-up Dialogue With Dignity project. The topic is our personal ethics, how we arrived at them, and how they impact our political choices. Register here to watch the program and chat with the panelists, 3pm eastern time. https://t.co/StnfiDMSAs
