@tainan_king@dgilliam12@CBKReport This is my point. It doesn’t bother you that Duke gets more talent and wins 2/3rds of the rivalry games. Seems pretty clear which program is superior right now.
@Jmgjr0810@dukefbburner He added role players as transfers because that’s what those teams needed. Next year’s team may need something different, which I’m sure Jon knows better than either of us. I’m going to bet that the guy who’s 70-7 the last two years knows how to build a roster.
@Jmgjr0810@dukefbburner Yeah, Sion James and Maliq Brown really didn’t add much to the team these past two years. And Jon should have used his magical powers to make Coward come to Duke instead of being a lottery pick. Some fans don’t seem to know how good we’ve got it.
@LykinsChad_ Duke won two national championships while Dean Smith was the UNC coach and two more while Roy Williams was. UNC being good has zero impact on Duke’s ability to win titles.
@OGBRob93@ColemanESPN The point is that UNC has been sitting at home after the first round while Duke makes deep runs. If you don’t think UNC is falling behind, how do explain the events of the last two weeks?
@OGBRob93@ColemanESPN If UNC is still even with or better than Duke, then why did they just fire their coach? Championships are what matter, but one team can be closer to winning one than the other. Not sure how you look at the last two years and argue Duke and UNC are equally close.
@Whatyourethink2 @Jack04574289 @BarstoolBDevils Lol. Scheyer isn’t going anywhere. He was in the Final Four last year, joined Dean Smith and Bob Knight as the only coaches under 40 to make 3 Elite Eights, and won more games in his first 4 years than anyone. The power brokers at Duke are smart enough to know how good he is.
@Jack04574289 @BarstoolBDevils The sport today is completely different from when either team last won the tourney. There was no NIL, no transfer portal. It's a different world. Duke has lost in agonizing fashion, true, but they've given much more evidence that they're adapting better to the new reality.
@Jack04574289 @BarstoolBDevils I'm well aware. But the only way to win it is to get as many bites at the apple as possible. If Duke continues to make deep runs in the tournament, they will break through again. UNC hasn't been close recently, which is why they're looking for a coach.
@M_Bulger19 Measuring from 2016 is ridiculous anyway. NIL and transfer portal have changed the sport completely. Duke has adapted to the new world far better than UNC despite the agonizing losses.
@cjebiii11@theblockspot Duke haters: “Duke always loses in March. No one does less with more.”
Also Duke haters: “The refs will make sure Duke never loses.”
