Okay so here's the deal, if everything in your life was working out smoothly all the time...YOU WOULD HAVE NO OCCASION TO WALK BY FAITH.
Embrace the struggle, God hasn't forgotten about you, fren.

"If you should render all the thanks and praise which your whole soul has power to possess, to that God who has created you...I say, if ye should serve him with all your whole souls yet ye would be unprofitable servants." –Mosiah 2:20–21
"Gratitude is a sign of maturity. It is an indication of sincere humility. It is a hallmark of civility. And most of all, it is a divine principle." -Gordon B. Hinckley #HappyThanksgiving
A poem from Charles Bukowski's "On Cats", published posthumously, 21 years after his death in 1994.
My Cats
I know. I know.
they are limited, have different
needs and
concerns.
but I watch and learn from them.
I like the little they know,
which is so
much.
they complain but never
worry,
they walk with a surprising dignity.
they sleep with a direct simplicity that
humans just can't
understand.
their eyes are more
beautiful than our eyes.
and they can sleep 20 hours
a day
without
hesitation or
remorse.
when I am feeling
low
all I have to do is
watch my cats
and my
courage
returns.
I study these
creatures.
they are my
teachers.
Live the gospel as conspicuously as you can. Keep the covenants your children know you have made. Give priesthood blessings. And bear your testimony!11 Don’t just assume your children will somehow get the drift of your beliefs on their own.
- Jeffrey R. Holland
Do not resist change. Embrace it. Learn from it. The essence of our mortal experience is to not remain the same. We are to come unto the Savior and experience a mighty change of heart. Men and women of Christ learn to love change and the lessons that are learned in that process.
“For unto us a child is born...and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
