@AmyHird5 Always a bug bare of mine! No original thinking allowed!!!

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

@AmyHird5 Still too much of a medical model in practice! Exhausting being the minority! #AHPs may be 3rd largest workforce in NHS but our individual professions have a very small voice in medic/nursing led services 😔

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

@KieranRose7 If only there were actual experts we could learn from 🤦

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

@sarasiobhan Absolutely devestating. Another avoidable death. When will people learn 😔 😡 🤬

[Prof Ryan @sarasiobhan]

Choked on a burger. Added to scabies, drowning, constipation, starvation... Just heartbreaking. And so fucking wrong.

I feel like I have worked a million hours this week. Very important legal battle managing to get an autistic adult discharged from an unsuitable mental health unit and back into her home. No feeling like it. Gratefully assisted by @SteveBroach - more info to come. #feelgoodfriday

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

@haylez10 @SteveBroach Well done 👍 it must be such a great feeling to be part of the solution!!!

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

@AmyHird5 Looks great. I need one. Great for mindfulness... And triggering a toilet break 🤦

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

@OTNorthumbria @adelewrightson don't try and manage alone @OTNorthumbria are there for https://t.co/culk90v1om support, use them, depend on them. They're there for you.'Be kind to yourself' is the mantra I learned from one of https://t.co/nCsxMIWMCv is etched in my ♥+🧠.If I was braver,it'd be etched on my skin!

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

@jcvdelapaz I love this ♥ wish I'd had it in current post - 'specialist' comes with expectations, both personal and those set by others = too much pressure, risk of trauma and burnout! #OccupationalTherapy

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

@KieranRose7 I will miss your analogies 'baking a cake requires not only the right ingredients but the right environment'... Another evening of CPD #DayInTheLifeOfAnOT #ChooseOT #OccupationalTherapy

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

@OT_rach @JustEatUK This is what best practice SHOULD look like... Meaningful activity 😋 Eating a curry IS occupational therapy 😂

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

Today's CPD... Den building w @cntwahp occupational therapists #BasketWeaving #TeaAndToast #DayInTheLifeOfAnOT #ChooseOT #OccupationalTherapy

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

Dysregulated=inhibited occupational function.People w learning disabilities+neurodiversity need those around them to co-regulate to=calm+alert state.Only then are domains of self care/productivity/leisure facilitated! #DayInTheLifeOfAnOT #ChooseOT #OccupationalTherapy

[alison dulson @alidulsonOT]

Hump day and I've done an extra days work already 😴 that brick wall looks mighty close 🥴 #DayInTheLifeOfAnOT #ChooseOT 😉 #OccupationalTherapy
