@dizzarz@DarkUma10 I mean just because they adopted confucianism into their culture, doesn't mean they adopt 100% of it. Thinking that they have no manners just based off of YOUR culture makes you quite uncultured yourself.
@msnoonecares7@DarkUma10 They're just pointing out that just like korea and western countries have different cultures/etiquette, korea and japan/china can have different cultures as well. Dunno why its so hard for foreigners to understand what they're implying😭
@Sol_exoticc@Maaaaaaki0712 Yuh.. except the ingredients in korean "whitening" products are also about dark spots from the sun, or just hyperpigmentation in general. Literally it's just niacinamide or vitamin c. Sometimes retinol. Ya'll foreigners just didn't do any research before pointing fingers
@nynyfofinha2@Maaaaaaki0712 It's all a mistranslation issue. There are words that have different meanings and connotations in different languages. The ingredients in "whitening" products are literally niacinamide/ vitamin c, which is commonly used in the west. They target hyperpigmentation + sun spots😐
@nynyfofinha2@Maaaaaaki0712 White in our language doesn't = white race/ person. It just means lighter skin color. If you didn't know, ivory and beige which has a yellow tone is also considered light. What asians are doing is ALSO trying to get UNIFORM/even skin tone. Not white as in a white person.
@likemaddox@Maaaaaaki0712 Yuh u have knowledge about different ethnicities... except asians. asians be using products that do the same thing, but when they do it they're "bleaching their skin". Just swap the glycolic acid with niacinamide/ vitamin c, cuz thats whats in "whitening" products😕
@stelyyuu@Gamjatang192760@Maaaaaaki0712 Brands can probably make more off of marketing towards multiple concern areas rather than just "sun spots'"/ "hyperpigmentation". they target all types of blemishes and use a convenient term for it
@stelyyuu@Gamjatang192760@Maaaaaaki0712 I think a lot of the misunderstanding has to due with the mistranslations + the naming from cosmetic brands. Products that target hyperpigmentation + sun spots are all looped in an umbrella term = 미백 which can be translated to "whitening"🥲
@SanjeyWolfVT@Maaaaaaki0712@howlbe01 Hyperpigmentation can happen due to dead skin, frequent friction in that area, or it can get darker from the sun. what koreans use are literally products like this. But swap that with niacinamide/ vitamin c/ retinol. They can't make u white, they just makes ur skin tone even
@nuggy_poop@MuricanOriental Ok but you know after using glycolic acid, you need to avoid the sun to not make it even darker? Basically thats what east asians r doing; preventing their skin from getting sun spots + wrinkles. Way better to prevent cancer than having to get it and treat it
@thelonelyrider_@MuricanOriental Like all the ingredients in the so called "whitening" products ate literally: niacinamide, vitamin c, retinol, etc. These are all ingredients used in western products🥲
@thelonelyrider_@MuricanOriental Honestly tho, this is exactly what koreans do and have been saying. The "whitening" skincare products are literally for sun spots, hyperpigmentation, etc. like all this does is make you skin tone even, not make it "whiter" than what you were born with🥲
@sutaakirakira French ppl are so crazy😭 they generalize an entire country based on one tweet that wasn't even from a korean😂😂 I wonder when they'll start checking their info before commenting😭😭😭
@Phachapat@lolitascak3 The fact that you're generalizing an entire country as "racist" makes YOU the racist. Ig by your logic, since ur racist then Thailand as a country is racist too🙌 not surprising since i saw a shit ton of xenophobia from sea countries while pointing fingers at korea
@Colormein13@phillipxpeter “Your country tries to sell" tf? well then, ig all american men are just like their rom-coms based on ur logic. If ppl cant separate dramas from reality thats their problem. The fact that ur blaming a country for that is xenophobic, cuz ofc its only a problem when it comes to kr
@pillariconrelic@funkandseoul Bruh.. korean women choose not to give birth bc it's SO DAMN EXPENSIVE. Not to mention the damage it does to their body. Like if women weren't dating then why are there so many fking couples everywhere?? I'm sure u saw a video where foreigners say it sucks being single in korea
@aishawinzclubs@KidmanChris@ian356094@patient__zero__@ShitpostGate Tf? No one bleaches their skin in korea. This is me as a kid. The lighter part that didn't tan is the skin i was born with. The tanned part went back to the original color after a couple months. Do ya'll really believe everything on X/TikTok?? Damn bruh🥴
