who at abc do I need to speak to in order to secure a fall premiere for the rookie because I really can’t do the eight month wait again with these circumstances
everything about this still makes me so sad, but this is a lovely response to see. saying that he’s disappointed, that the story is being left unfinished, and giving supriya praise
“I think that he would probably choose Dr. Mohan. (...) Supriya's characterization of Dr. Mohan and what she has brought to it has made the audience love her in a big way. She's a fan favorite. I would say that Dr. Abbot is the head of the fan club.” - Shawn

genuinely sucks to think about all the dynamics between samira and other characters that had so much potential. friendship with mel/mckay/santos, mentorship to others, al-hashimi, abbot obviously. there are so many dynamics that felt like they were being set up all for nothing
“Anyone with half a brain could see it was clear Mohan was going to leave” okay well what about the fact that up until late February Supriya was still doing interviews where she talked about what kind of scenes she hoped she’d get to do in S3? A month after S2 had already wrapped
it all points to this being a recent decision, but I cannot possibly fathom why from either a narrative or creative standpoint (unless it was supriya’s choice obviously)
to me, mohan is one of the most integral characters. the differences in how she approaches patient care, her dynamics with the others. the pitt is an ensemble, but removing such an important piece weakens the whole show (as we’ve already seen this season without collins imo)
planning to apply for ptmc fellowships, wanting to ask for a letter of rec… when they could have just said that she was moving and not spent the season undoing that. all the interviews talking about her storylines and future, hell even the show creator talking about mohabbot
I truly feel so stunned that I can’t even process this. and it feels even more baffling because why was this season so focused on her changing her mind about moving back to jersey and figuring out a way to stay? they could have just kept that original plan
I’ve been off twitter for a day to avoid spoilers until I could watch, and now I’m distraught. I was disappointed that samira didn’t have more of a storyline in what was supposed to be the climax of her day, and then I come on here to see that supriya is leaving. I can’t do this
I’m very happy for ayesha, but I also hate that this announcement came together. she deserved to be celebrated on her own, rather than having it framed like this. both characters should be regulars
EXCLUSIVE: #ThePitt star Supriya Ganesh, who plays Dr. Samira Mohan, will exit the series for Season 3.
According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, the decision is story-driven. As a teaching hospital, Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center regularly sees residents come and go.
Ayesha Harris, who plays senior night shift resident Dr. Parker Ellis, has been promoted to series regular for Season 3.
