@Variety Any actor or attendee at this event with a once of decency will take themselves into the same room as John in support of a disabled man who feels he has no option but to segregate himself ! John I hope your film gets every accolade going!
@BadWilf Sadly I doubt it, they have far “trendier” topics to attach themselves to. Let’s be honest disability is way down on their list of priorities to be outraged about!
@Heavy_Boab Why don’t they ask anyone who feels they would be offended by johns disability to go in another room - watch an edited delayed version if bloopers occur!! The irony of a film about someone struggling with acceptance and the subject feeling they have to segregate themselves !
"When I was in charge of the BAFTA ceremony, we asked a man who inspired a film raising awareness and acceptance of Tourette syndrome to watch from a separate room owing to the fact that he had that condition."
@Baddiel Agree, Context is everything. interesting he recalls verbatim what KC says but not the exact words he used. That would be useful to understand the “alleged” reaction .
What I can’t believe is KC was elated & giddy when he had to tell his kids their mother had died.
@Claudiacc@AllisonPearson I think @Rylan had a lucky escape! Switched off after enduring the first 30 mins. I know 3 of the “celebrities” total turn off TV
@thecarolemalone I can’t stand my ex husband but as a mum of 2 children I would never have been giddy, elated or sounding like a lottery winner if he had died as a loving father he’d have to break the news to his children, comfort and manage their heartbreak. Stories like this only discredit CS
@OfficialALW It’s lovely to remix the original cast but let’s give the new cast the opportunity to shine - with excitement about the anniversary this is a great opportunity to share new voices and talent!
