Introducing... the Penguin Book Vending Machine!
In 1935, Sir Allen Lane was inspired to create Penguin Books when he couldn't find a good book to read at Exeter St. David's train station.
We've gone back to our roots to ensure modern day commuters won't face the same problem.
@jellymalin I saved up so managed 11 months off but didn't realise how disrupted the return would be with illnesses when my LO started nursery. So, this time I'm planning some flexible work/ time for unplanned days off with sick children!
@jellymalin So many wonderful things - not denying it's bloody hard, but there is so much fun too. The cuddles, giggles and opportunities to be silly are the best + sharing in tiny human doing things for the first time. You will discover you are capable of more than you could ever imagine x
@jellymalin Etta Loves sensory B&W muslins are really nice and great for distracting baby when they're having a nappy change/ if you're trying to have a shower
@grownupgapyear I've worked for a couple of charities and never known there to be a policy around this. They are usually very stretched for time and capacity though so if it doesn't fit with a current campaign, they may struggle to get to it. I am guessing though as all are different.

In Oct I was meant to travel to #Afghanistan to profile the incredible Fatima Haidari – the country’s only female tour guide. She rose from shepherdess to journalist, fighting tooth & nail for her education. Her future, as that of all other Afghan women, is now in real peril.
Beaming with pride to see my article in @GuardianTravel today. After becoming a mum so many people said I couldn’t do this, yet here we are, with our first DPS on our sustainable adventure. Thanks to @Jane_Dunford for the commission - it meant the world 🙏. Now onto the next…
I feel like every human in Europe should read this book. So utterly fascinating and eye-opening, and brilliantly warm and big-hearted. I loved this. Well done @_TharikHussain 👏👏👏👏👏👏
