Independent DEM candidate releases first pillar of campaign https://t.co/Xc0eRMOlW8
@pmskauf Fully agree, I can only expect it’s back up in case things go south for them in the GE. The uber-experienced independent will be getting my vote!
@Sharko1988@MarkFeighery1@AerLingus@Ryanair Regardless whether Ryanair and Aerlingus have conpletely different planes - what matters is, Mark belongs in the front row and Aerlingus stole that opportunity from him. Thank you.
Questions after the NTSB briefing:
Have we ever grounded a whole fleet immediately after a mishap but BEFORE an investigation revealed a systemic problem?
The next time a newer aircraft has a mishap, will we ground that entire fleet? Should we ground A350s after the JAL crash?
What about older jets? If they have a mishap, will we immediately ground that fleet until an investigation is complete? If the argument is that age is the concern…wouldn’t the same concern apply to aging fleets?
How old does a fleet have to be to avoid grounding? What’s the sweet spot?
What if a non-US carrier has a mishap overseas? Should we ground the fleet then?
What if we have multiple makes involved in mishaps close in time to each other? Will we grind aviation to a halt by grounding both?
Why order an Airworthiness Directive (AD) inspection if you never intended to let the fleet fly on completion? Hoping to spot something?
Now that the inspections are (mostly) done & (presuming) no signs of unusual stress or damage was found, is the original FAA certification not good enough? How about the recertification the MAX went through?
What if the investigation finds it’s not a design flaw & instead was just one, improperly installed door, in which case the grounding achieved nothing?
I’ve soured on Boeing the last 5 years, but I’m concerned we’re upending established safety philosophy & setting potentially disruptive precedents here…
…it starts to sound like “Two weeks to flatten the curve” and “if it saves one life”…actions taken on a lot of assumptions but little evidence
@Eimear_McManus Personally I have found it difficult from the “post beginner phase” - after the initial lessons and intro to golf, unless you find another lady golfer to couple with, it’s difficult to get out for course time, maybe more group intermediate lessons which are course focused?
