Together with Mombasa County Assembly Speaker Aharub Khatri, we attended the launch of the Dola Super Cup tournament sponsored by Dola Group of the Kitui Maize Millers Limited.
Launch of “Mombasa Yangu” Youth Empowerment Program
We are alive to the challenges of unemployment of facing the young people of Mombasa. It is for this reason that we have prioritized the fifth phase of Mombasa Yangu that will provide meaningful work for over 3,000 youth drawn from each and every ward of Mombasa.
These are among the practical steps we are taking to eliminate drug abuse occasioned by idleness. This work will earn our people decent income with a ripple effect on the micro-economy of Mombasa.
My own CECM for Water, Climate Change and Natural Resources Ms. Emily Achieng is a product of Mombasa Yangu that was conducted during the Covid period. This demonstrates the potential for growth that this opportunity presents for our people.

I have learned of Gen. Ogolla’s passing, I extend my heartfelt sympathies to the family, friends and the KDF fraternity as we mourn his loss and reflect upon his life.
Gen. Ogolla’s professionalism and calm demeanor represents the best of what our Armed Forces have to offer - discipline, respect and love of country.
He was a trailblazer in many ways, and his legacy lives on in the record of our nation’s history.
At this difficult time, please know we are holding you all in our thoughts and prayers.
“Verily, to God we belong and to God we shall return.”
Sincerely,
Abdullswamad Sharrif Nassir.

On this first day of fasting, I had the opportunity to meet and greet the people of Bamburi Mwisho, Kisauni Sub-County.
