GET READY FOR RAMADĀN

Aisha (r.a.) said: “I did not see him fast in any month as much as he fasted in Sha’ban.” (Muslim)

1. Start fasting.

2. Start reducing your caffeine intake.

Aisha (r.a.) said: “We, the Family of Muhammad, would remain for an entire month without ever kindling a fire (to cook food) - there were only dates and water to consume!” (Tirmidhī)

The Prophet ﷺ passed by Sa’d when he was doing wudū, and he said: “What is this extravagance, O Sa’d?” who replied: “Can there be any extravagance in wudū?” He ﷺ said: “Yes, even if you are on the bank of a flowing river.” (Ahmad)

2. Seek the means, but do not be dependent on them. Instead, attach your heart to al-Wakīl.

3. When you are going through any difficulty/feel scared, remember that Allah, al-Wakil 'has your back’.
Say: حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل as lbrāhīm a did when he was thrown into the fire.

Connect to Al-Wakil

1. Place your trust (tawakkul) in al-Wakīl. When you are conflicted in between choosing Him and the world, choose Him. If you give up something for Him, He will certainly replace it with something better.

The Guardian, The Disposer of Affairs, The Protector

Allah is the Only One to whom all matters are entrusted. Allah manages the affairs of His creation in accordance with His knowledge, power and wisdom.

‘Every time the heart increases in negligence, it increases in hardness; but when Allah is remembered, the hardness is melted like fire melts lead.’ (Ibn al-Qayyim)

Allah says: “It is We [alone] who apportion among them their very livelihood in the life of this world.” (43:32)

A pious person said: ‘I pondered over this verse and I understood that distribution of livelihood is from Allah, and upon this I was never jealous of anyone.’

Be persistent in your du’ā’ today:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Verily your Lord is Generous and Shy. If His servant raises his hands to Him, He becomes shy to return them empty.” (Tirmidhī)

Whoever keeps knocking on the door will eventually have it opened for him.
