Having come through Cardiff Academy system I’ve seen the finances, support, coaching, specialist coaching & logistics that go into it. Most of my team mates were from the Ponty & RCT way too. So Cardiff is serving the talent of that area, 2 birds 1 stone

Pro players move to pro clubs, so that shouldn’t be an issue. I’m not in favour of cutting a Team either btw, I genuinely think we do have the talent pathway for 5 teams, providing the infrastructure is developed for the 1m Cymro in the North

Big ask, I know but not impossible.

I think moving RGC from semi to pro would be the most practical solution but the benefactor would need to develop the talent conveyor belt infrastructure via a (1/2)

In 20 years, when we’ve gone through the high of a golden generation, but then during another trough as all those players retire, people will be shouting for 2 teams, citing the same reasons.
Rinse and repeat until….🤷🏻‍♂️
