loudmouth with righteous tendencies. the opposite of war isn’t peace, it’s creation 🌬✨ mother, actor/(screen)writer/singer, professional renaissance woman
I am fucking shaking. I want to break something, specifically the rigged system that allowed this atrocity to basic bodily autonomy to occur. Fuck the old men burning down all of our trees, fuck the Justices responsible and fuck the current state of the USA #NotProudToBeAmerican
fellow actors, do you ever get a fantastic script for an audition that just reignites your dwindling passion for auditioning bc WOW it can be so necessary
lmao so turns out people are still mistaking me for an NYU alumni 6 years after I accidentally assimilated and let everyone think I went to NYU 😂 #theartoffakingcollege
Why is it that (typically) when a woman interrupts a man while he’s making a point and he asks her to wait, she’s expected to but when a man interrupts a woman while she’s making a point and she asks him to wait, he continues to interrupt until she’s forced to shut up? 🤔🤔🤔
@kxnzieaf@idkthreat Also, lastly, most of us are just trying to pay our bills with the thing we’re passionate about. It’s understandable to want an actor with a huge platform to use it for good, but most actors have to keep our mouths shut if we want to get to the point where we have that platform.
@kxnzieaf@idkthreat We take what we can get. If we reject a role, we risk not getting another one for months and developing a bad rep. Most actors also don’t see the full screenplay/know their costars until they’re under contract, which looks even worse if you back out then.
@kxnzieaf@idkthreat And yes, in a small percentage of cases, the actor (if they are very well known) might have the power. In those circumstances, I can agree that they can be held to a level of accountability that matches their level of power. But most actors don’t have that power.
@kxnzieaf@idkthreat Literally all I am saying is that people shouldn’t be attacking actors on a personal level if they want to see change. They should be going after the people who actually make decisions and have the power, not just resorting to petty bullying that’ll have no real impact.
@kxnzieaf@idkthreat It is irresponsible to hold actors to the same level of accountability as directors/producers, as the power dynamics between most actors & them are incredibly uneven. To pretend otherwise completely undermines the progress made by the #MeToo movement. Actors are not in charge.
#mfw I end up in a twitter fight when I barely even use twitter cause I had the nerve to try and give a perspective actually based on my reality instead of talking out of my ass like the people I was just trying to have an actual intellectual debate with
@RINYUSHOKUU @idkthreat LMAO did it ever occur to you that you’re talking to someone who has been sexually assaulted/raped multiple times? There’s no excuse for defending a rapist, even if you are a victim yourself.
@idkthreat @RINYUSHOKUU Clearly not, since you, once again, have your icon as someone that is married to a sexual predator :) maybe spend less time jumping on internet bandwagons and more time educating yourself on how to be less of a hypocrite :)
