And she did have a reason to include it in the book clearly. To show how demeaning men can be to women and queer folk alike.

And to be fair, the “fetishizing” is done through the lens of a college boy. It’s a pretty realistic depiction on her part unfortunately.

& im not a “langdon boymom” im a recovering addict and his storyline is important to me. if i seem overprotective of him it’s bc i dont like being misunderstood & i want addicts to be treated with dignity and respect, which shouldnt be a luxury, but it’s one i wasnt always given

@pozzumclaws @Iovessad Absolutely! Not saying everyone can do it. Some recovering alcoholics can’t step inside a bar for 5 minutes without being tempted, and that’s ok. As long as you set boundaries for yourself so you don’t trigger a potential relapse. I love my job. And I love being sober too.
