Sick of the woke, non conventionally attractive male video game protagonists.
Take Joel from The Last of Us. I’ve used filters to remove his aging skin, DEI chin, woke wrinkles, and greying hair. Now he looks strong, masculine, and attractive.
I hesitated posting this because it'll probably ruffle a few feathers, but know this is coming from a place of love and concern.
One thing that I don't like about this X nerdcore "community" is that they will burn you at the stake if you do something they don't agree with. They will intentionally publicly shame you.
Consider the following examples:
🔹Your sibling used ChatGPT to write an essay for school, but you don't support the use of AI. Would you tell everybody in your family?
🔹You discovered your best friend's secret Onlyfans, but you don't support sex work. Would you post screenshots on Facebook? Probably not right? You would go to that individual, privately, and discuss your dissatisfaction with their decision making.
Ideologically, this is supposed to be an inclusive community that welcomes people of all beliefs, habits and lifestyles. But, over the years, this town-square-like selective outrage has made it difficult for people to navigate through this space.
This "community" has publicly come after individuals who:
Dabbled in NFT's
Expressed their Christian faith
Didn't show support for Ukraine
Didn't have BLM in the bio
Utilized AI tools
Didn't show support for Palestine
Voted for Trump
Instead of expressing how they feel to those individuals through private messaging, they quote-post for all of their fans to see. As a community, shouldn't we support each other instead of tearing each other down?
There are some things that are OBJECTIVELY wrong. For example, the unremorseful use of racial or homophobic slurs. Those are the kinds of things that need to be called out. Then there are things that are SUBJECTIVELY wrong. If you consider yourself to be a part of a family/community, then those instances should be handled privately.
You may think I'm a jerk for saying all this. You may talk trash about me in your discord chats. I don't care. I just would like to see this community thrive. But as long as there are small factions of echo-chambers warring against each other on the public square, it will be an uphill battle.
This community needs to show more grace, temperance and TOLERANCE!
@ChichiAi I usually go by Al and it’s easy to misread
So when someone writes ‘Al wrote this song’ or something like this some people get a wrong idea :D
@ClaireMCorlett Claire, it’s been a nightmare reading all the shit people are putting you guys through on the internet. I can only imagine how pissed off you must be. This person definitely shouldn’t get away with it, I hope justice catches up with them- Wishing you strength!
@BronyFandont has been harassing my husband and me for many months now. And it’s time to stop.
If you guys could help me by reporting their main thread, that would be great:
🗣️ SINGING VOICE ACTORS!
Can you sing AND act? Do you also have great recording gear? Wow! You might be the perfect fit for The Chalks’ next productions!
