Along with many others I am pleased with the ‘probable’ purse increases that are a result of Ontario Racings substantial contribution to the industry. I am however interested in who’s watching where these funds ultimately end up. Will they end up in purses where the funds will benefit all stakeholders or will they become part of a fund that is used to defer expenses accrued by the various companies conducting racing. It could be that a watch dog system is in place making my concerns of money distribution of little concern. I hope that is the case.
