@RevRichardColes I lived in Kuching, Sarawak in the 1960’s and there had been 3 white Rajahs who then handed over to the British in 1946, before The Malaysian’s took over in 1964. They had an Astana (large house/palace) built on the river bank which still stands there today

@zarahussain999 @Telegraph It was designed to give Forces families stability in education. With postings every few years, often abroad, at least the children could have a steady education with the same friends and teachers, and not be moved during the school year. Seems a small price to pay for our Forces.

How can you bump 35 people off a flight for spurious ‘weight and fuel’ reasons and not know during the 4 hour delay?
