#Leadership is action & aspiration, not a character trait! We can do small things every day to become better leaders. @SimmonsCollege https://t.co/i50X0yeJur
@311Somerville is this a city camera on the fence between the basketball court and the playground at Kenney Park? There are no notices about security or surveillance?
#mentorship is more important in our remote work environment. I'm lucky enough to have a strong mentor network to help me transition to virtual connections. We're working @payettepeople to set up a virtual program to help our colleagues who need mentor connections now!
We are excited to be developing Payette Connect, an in-house virtual mentoring initiative! Alison Laas kicks off the first in a series of blog posts about remote mentoring. https://t.co/M6eQxzpKFk #mentoring
Here's an idea: support small businesses by giving owners enough $$ so we can pay our ppl, our expenses, and ourselves so we can take a month off, bc if we all don't get a serious break we're all going to be so exhausted and over it we'll close our businesses for good anyway.
@StephTheBlogger I think the details depends on school, but my sister is anticipating split sessions where she sees half her students every other day or every other week. She's hoping for every other day.
Me: "I'm an architect."
@SirKenRobinson: "That's it?" (with humor)
In my message to graduating #architecture students, you are much more than your degree and your current circumstances. "You have the power to change the world." Congratulations #ArchGrad20! @AIANational@BSAAIA
@311Somerville unshoveled sidewalk at corner of Park Ave & Chandler St (11 Park Ave property). Icy and unsafe conditions. Photo taken Wednesday morning well after snow stopped.
@archimentoring I’ve taken advantage of mentoring programs outside my firm @BSAAIA when I can’t see the architect I want to be immediately inside my firm. As a growing mentor I also try to look for protégés who don’t necessarily look like me to support them!
@archimentoring I’ve participated in several great institutional mentoring programs through @BSAAIA. While only one of those programs resulted in a longer term mentor relationship they all helped me reflect & refine my career goals & path.
@mdumich@srpc406@archimentoring I’m in that place too right now and it’s exhausting! I’m also traveling to my client a lot so I know I need to spend my time that I have in the office on the people on my team.
@srpc406@archimentoring Putting time aside for working mentoring into my schedule is so true! I’m really struggling with increased project responsibilities & figuring out how to work in mentoring opportunities. I need to be more intentional w/time. #a19mentorgoals
@archimentoring At mid-career my agenda is to how to begin to be a better mentor. I have the tools of how to be a good protege but am at a point where I realize I need to learn to be a better mentor. #A19CON
Congratulations to Associate Principal Wesley Schwartz who is being honored with the AIA Young Architect Award! #A19CON@AIANational#PayetteForward https://t.co/9skCQlozry
