"Go back to the @educationgovuk & rip up the behaviourist approach to education. It creates a world where neurodiverse children, those with anxiety, mental health and even the timid cannot survive." Absolutely agree @RachaelMaskell 👏 @teamsquarepeg@NotFineinSchool
@neuroteachers I completely agree. The curriculum in particular is way too rigid. There needs to be a flexible well-being pathway within it. Very difficult times.
@PookyH The “walk in my shoes” video - Donaldson Trust is hard hitting, but works well if the context is right and is similar to a child’s own. It does encourage those who think “they’re fine at school” to reconsider https://t.co/zjyAvtEk3w
@RachelButterf12 @ADHDFoundation @sencochat If you have a local Autism Outreach service, we do this a lot. I do it as identity work. Different for every individual, but I find “The Secret Life of Rose” book great as a talking point for younger children and Ambitious about autism videos helpful for older.
Dear @trussliz / @RishiSunak the cost of living crisis has left millions worried how they'll make ends meet.
I'd like to formally invite you, as the new PM, to join me asap once you take office for a special hour's @itvMLshow discussion/Q&A to answer/ease people's concerns.
