Thank you Karen for sharing your beautiful painting with us. It has been so appreciated by all our nursing community who today received your sunflower print as a card. Uplifting, inclusive & positive!
“When faced with a challenge, remember the sunflower - standing tall, facing the sun and leaning on each other for support. Together, weathering any storm - that's the power of teamwork."
This #IND2024, deputy sister Karen shares how her nursing experience inspired her artwork.
I wouldn’t typically post from the Stylist magazine, but this is rather good! Perhaps the answer isn’t always an email in the NHS, but we could get better at focused, pomodoro style meetings…?
Have just reviewed the table of contents…genuinely looks a compelling read and with 47 chapters quite a tome to offset the price tag maybe!? @martinlipscomb
Published - and in a few days, available to buy (lottery winners only). Bar the price, every library needs one . . . maybe several? https://t.co/28OboZ4l14
If considering the potential of bringing stakeholders with you as researchers - we offer insight into how research practices can evolve through discourse and partnership. Thank you Sadhia Ali and @dcmchang
In this #OpenAccess case study in @Research4A, @alisoncfinch Sadhia Ali & David Chang reflect on developing a triad interview method that explores the experience of stakeholders in a young people's #cancer service in the UK:

I would echo that @MarkGaze. This has been most definitely my professional & lived experience, not least here @uclh. As a profession nursing’s contribution remains difficult to distinctively and precisely articulate - perhaps this in itself impacts its standing & recruitment.
Thanks everyone. Freedom was most definitely a primary feature @BethanSIngram Expansive findings to follow once I’ve finished my thesis! In the meantime further info about this aspect of the work & another from TYA cancer is on the UCLH website https://t.co/sbpmclWStH
Feeling delighted to share some of the findings from my doctoral research publicly @uclh Street Gallery. With thanks to curators Nella Pignatelli & Kristy Wang, and help from @tsgfarnetti ,along with the TYA cancer community, NIHR & uclh arts and heritage https://t.co/sbpmcmf1HP
@lsoanes@TeenageCancer It’s exhibiting in the main hospital until early September… seeing if I can pull off a private view on the 2nd or 6th, early eve if interested. Either way I can organise a set of exhibition postcards for you? … and yes to the Congress, I’ll be submitting an abstract!
Helping make nursing careers more visible to others - in support of International Nurses’ Day today. I am a proud registered nurse. A leader, doctoral researcher & lifelong student. Consistently motivated by what really matters: humanity. #HereForLife
On #IND2021 I reflect on my pride being part of the @UCLH nursing community. Also, my appreciation for cardiac ITU @StGeorgesTrust. It’s 6 months today since my father died in their care. The nurses exemplified what it means to facilitate a good death. #DMAW21#InAGoodPlace
Virtual wards have been up and running in cancer to deliver on-time treatment via ‘ambulatory care’ @uclh since around 2003. An opportunity to expedite this pathway for other specialties post Covid as we learn the NHS waiting list could reach 10 million https://t.co/vVnxWG67y5
This is Phil. He works in my team @uclh as our Clinical Procurement specialist. Phil has spent the last 12 wks working his socks off assessing PPE for clinical use.He routinely tests out product in many different ways.Phil has been instrumental in our C-19 response.Phil is Ace🙌
