2023-2024

Every time I returned to Gaza from the United States, I would bring with me dozens of books. I would throw some clothes and shoes to make space for my new books.
Once at home, I would put them on my shelves, even before I get some rest. I would later pick some books that I would start to read the next month. In October Israel bombed our house. They bombed my books, many of which were signed by my friends. (Stephen Greenblatt, Katha Pollitt, Peter Balakian, Askold Melnyczuk, Ammiel Alcalay, Jonathan Dee, Noam Chomsky, Suad Amiry, Najla Said, Namwali Serpell)
