@kirstincm Some of my students just finished reading Beautiful Music. They are VERY UPSET that it’s over and would like to know if there is a sequel in the works?? They can’t get enough!
RHS just completed our first lock-down drill of the school year. We told students it was a drill, so as not to create extra worry or fear, but we know this drill might be upsetting. All teachers & counselors are here to support our students-please let us know if you need help.

Q2: Though I’m not experienced in this type of situation, I would suggest to do the best you can to schedule IEP meetings around the parents’ schedules. I’m interested to know what the experienced vets have to say about this topic. #rcslearn
Q1: I believe that teachers should brainstorm curriculum independently and then collaborate before establishing their final curriculum in order to get creative and differentiated ideas! #RCSLearn
Alison Koch - student teacher, Eaton High School. One of my favorite memories so far from student teaching is when a student told me he couldn’t wait to have me as a full time “teacher” next semester! #RCSLearn
Join us for the #RCSLearn chat tonight at 8:00. We are talking about Collaboration in the Classroom. The chat is being hosted by students from my @iueast English Methods course.
A lot of our kids are afraid of the unknown and afraid of making mistakes. To overcome their fears, we reassure them that the classroom is a place for growth and learning: it’s okay if you’re not an expert on everything!
