@nico1e Do we want 2 people on the EC from the same district? There is already representation from PG on our EC, I’d rather give other district voices a chance to be represented.
Good news for #bced. The #bcpoli government will not be moving forward with the problematic prevalence model. Thanks to all the teachers who worked so hard to convince government that prevalence was the wrong approach to funding special education. More info/comment to come.
The #BCteachershortage is unprecedented. In #PrinceGeorge there are 13 full-time teaching job which remain unfilled half way through the school year. 16 more to come. With BC's low wages, districts struggle to recruit from other provinces. #bced#bcpoli https://t.co/0EnfQTkey0
As #BCTeacherShortage continues to worsen, #bced children with special needs are being sent home when there are no teachers to support them. In addition, there are an unprecedented number of uncertified and unqualified adults currently teaching in schools. New #bcpoli radio ad:
Favourite gif to describe when #bced employer and #bcpoli@BCNDPCaucus government tabled massive concessions to roll back class size and composition with nothing more than 2/2/2 to show for it. Go!
Rob Fleming addressing the 2017 BCTF Fall Rep Assembly:
"It’s time for a new relationship between teacher and government. BCPSEA can either get with the program or get off the bus. In Alberta, the ATA reached a settlement without a strike. In B.C., we can do the same."
Hmmm....
