Nice undermined border of pyoderma gangrenosum. Note- there aren’t a ton of neutrophils, but they are still there and sometimes you just don’t get a lot in PG. #MedTwitter#dermtwitter#dermpath#pathology
The #medbikini movement is one of the best medtwitter things I’ve ever seen. Doctors are people who do normal people things. Big thanks to the horribly misguided and borderline unethical vascular surgery publication that made it all possible.
Thank you for writing. It’s disheartening that the motivations of the good and hardworking people of Healthcare are being challenged by the propaganda presented in the #PlandemicDocumentary
I'm watching #PlandemicDocumentary. I am a physician and a scientist. This #COVID19 pandemic scares me. I am a mother; I have an 80 year old grandmother; I have friends on the frontlines. I'll be seeing patients in the next couple weeks. If you're willing, here's my perspective.
Siamese cats have temperature sensitive tyrosinase activity (akin to humans with oculocutaneous albinism type 1B). Tyrosinase is needed for melanin production and does not work well in warmer temperatures, hence why Siamese cats have darker fur on face/paws (cooler body areas)!
This is why in pathology, we see mast cells in neurofibromas and must memorize c-KIT staining for mast cells! Go basic science! #derm#dermatology#dermpath#medtwitter
Mouse models of neurofibroma development require both Nf1 mutated Schwann cells AND Nf1 mutated mast cells. The Nf1 mutated Schwann cells oversecrete c-KIT ligand which attracts the mast cells.
@erikaedwardsnbc@NBCNews You need fact checking. Chloroquine phosphate IS an antimalarial that is ALSO used in fish food. It’s not a toxin unless over dosed. It’s NOT true that the generic name is hydroxychloroquine-that is a different medication. Agree-people need to talk to doctors before taking meds!
50,000 dead from pneumonia! 56,000 die from the flu! 13,000 die from UTIs! 60,000 dead from RSV! 20,000 dead from MRSA! 15,000 dead from C.dif! 2 dead from Covid-19! But you know both their names and you know how many people in your town have it. Media should provide perspective
Yikes...As if patients don’t face enough obstacles getting appropriate therapy!👇

Agree! Also- improving the obesity epidemic would be a cheaper magic bullet not just for cancer, but for cardiovascular disease, skin disease, mental health, etc
Evidence is accumulating that eating in a 6-hour period and fasting for 18 hours can trigger a metabolic switch from glucose-based to ketone-based energy. https://t.co/AkSEMPUpWw
