Tom Brady explains his mental edge and why practice (not gameday) creates separation.
"There was a part of me that was a psychopath out there. I was extremely hypercompetitive every day. I didn't feel like let's get to Sunday and now it's the time...Every day is the time to give your best, even in practice."
Every day your standards are either reinforced or lowered by how you treat practice.
You don’t flip a switch into excellence. You rehearse it daily.

3 decision making filters from my man Mike Breaux:
- Is it good for me?
- Is it good for them?
- Does it glorify God?
"Let love be your highest goal." (1 Corinthians 14:1)
Two things:
1. There are certain answers we’re never going to get from God in this lifetime. Things we are never going to be able to make sense of or understand.
2. YET, walking closely with God means, when questions rage and roar in our chests, we keep asking them. We bring them out in the light. Do not imagine that wrestling with God can’t be a form of intimacy. It has us face-to-face with the one we hold to be sovereign over all things.
We will never trust anyone we can’t question. Though we may well walk away from the inquiry with no answers, we do not walk away alone. We walk with the one who will walk us all the way home where all answers await and all doubts abate.
