@nicolafOT #otshu Are these settings more focussed on a medical model of health?

[Alison Stefan @AlisonStefan]

@OT_ao90 #otshu in Rachel's example, OT in acute setting is one link in chain through early supported discharge to community team

[Alison Stefan @AlisonStefan]

@colemanshu1 @nicolafOT #otshu Is part of this understanding and acknowledging that OTs are part of a longitudinal OT team?

[Alison Stefan @AlisonStefan]

@RRenable #otshu occupationally focussed and graded interventions, meaningful through addressing the service users goals for occupation?

[Alison Stefan @AlisonStefan]

@nicolafOT #otshu difficult when the remit of the setting is tight, with rapid discharge. Does it become more about the service?

[NHS England @NHSEngland]

[April Garton @prilly84]

@Lauracoxot2013 I love this! As its about giving them something new rather than focusing on taking away #otshu

[Alison Stefan @AlisonStefan]

@BillWongOT @prilly84 @helen_parnell starting point was person-centred approach, respecting values, while promoting behaviour change? #otshu

[Alison Stefan @AlisonStefan]

@FionaStirland #otshu Are there barriers of waiting list and resource pressures, limiting time to build therapeutic relationship?

[Fiona Madin @FionaStirland]

OTs can help SUs set achievable life goals and combat issues around stigma #OTshu

[April Garton @prilly84]

@RRenable @susanwoolner it's imperative that we empower our service users and ensure they don't feel judged in any way #otshu

[Alison Stefan @AlisonStefan]

@prilly84 @RRenable @susanwoolner ensuring interventions are meaningful to the service-user and achievable & supporting the goals #otshu

[Alison Stefan @AlisonStefan]

@prilly84 @RRenable @susanwoolner that further increases the importance of occupational intervention planning and grading #otshu

[Alison Stefan @AlisonStefan]

@prilly84 @helen_parnell #otshu that's an interesting link to motivational interviewing

@AlisonStefan I agree, but then in the modern world of the Nhs where is the cut off point if people continue and goals aren't achieved
