Halifax bereaved dad Ben Moorhouse asks for your help.
In 3 weeks today, I take on my dangerous extreme challenge at The Ancient Stadium of Rhodes in Greece.
I am putting my body and mind through hell to fund vital research in honour of our daughter, Kallipateira.
We are just £800 short of our £5000 target.
Please help me by donating and sharing today.
Thank you

3 weeks tomorrow. Exactly 21 days left to hit my target.
Right now, I am £870 short of my initial £5,000 target for stillbirth research for this year's extreme challenge.
On Sunday 19 July, I will stand at the starting line of the Ancient Stadium of Rhodes in Greece. I am going to walk 260 lengths of the central track. There is zero shade. The temperature will exceed 35–40°C, and the heat rising from the ancient stone will be suffocating.
No medical teams watching me.
Just relentless, extreme physical and mental exhaustion. Some people tell me I am crazy. They ask why I put my body through this level of punishment.
My answer is simple: The physical pain of 260 lengths in the blistering Greek heat is nothing compared to holding your dead baby and the pain of leaving a hospital with empty arms.
In October 2018, my beautiful daughter Kallipateira was stillborn at 37 weeks. Her death was entirely preventable. I made a promise to her that I would make sure she did not die for nothing and that I would spend the rest of my life fighting to make sure other families don't face this silent heartbreak.
Because of the world-class care and research by Professor Alexander Heazell at the Manchester Maternal and Fetal Health Research Centre, our rainbow son Apollon is here today. Quite simply, without that research, he wouldn't be.
Stillbirth is a subject society tries to brush under the carpet because it makes people uncomfortable. But funding this science stops the heartbreak. Every single penny raised goes directly to funding the clinical research that saves babies' lives.
We are so close to the initial £5,000 line. I just need £870 to unlock it before I step onto that track.
Maybe with your help I can raise even more.
It would make my day to reach £5000 today. Thank you.

While most people are seeking shade during this UK heatwave, I spent today walking 30 miles across Saddleworth Moor.
I took short-notice annual leave from work today for one reason: to deliberately force my body to train in these current conditions.
Walking across Saddleworth Moor meant facing miles of terrain with zero shade.I did this intentionally.
On Sunday 19th July 2026—I will be in Rhodes Greece attempting the Ancient Stadium of Rhodes Extreme Challenge. I will walk 260 lengths of the exposed middle ancient track in conditions that are like an oven.
The physical pain of training and my extreme challenges is nothing compared to the devastation of holding your dead baby in your arms.
