UK hunting trophy ban unjustified. A new study, published today, concludes that the proposed UK Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill, discussed in the UK Parliament (2022-2024), could do more harm than good for wildlife. @UKLabour Govt committed to a similar ban. 🧵 1/10

@CWitvrouwen @AmyDickman4 @DanChallender @PeterEgan6 @turgwe777 @Turgwetrust The hippo that Karen and Jean Roger are supporting don’t live in some isolated concession owned by the Turgwe Hippo Trust, they are in the Turgwe River which forms the boundary between two properties that are fully supported and maintained by revenues from hunting.

Without hunting revenue there would be no habitat for hippos in the turgwe river
