@talkSPORT@BetMGMUK My take as a lifelong spurs fan: Sebastian Kehl Rumour: Tottenham Cannot Rebuild by Rearranging the Same People
https://t.co/c8M9Fh2cB6
@SpursOfficial board got too many major calls wrong; manager, squad build and football structure. Ownership now needs to review the quality of decision-making/ delivery across the club.Rushing into another Sporting Director appointment risks treating symptoms rather than causes.
@JimOhSoSpurs Isn’t he in Argentina due to his rehab? Look, I don’t like the guys attitude and recent performances but if he’s over the other side of the continent..because the spurs/ Argentina medical team believe that’s where he needs to be - then his hands our tied? Optics are bad though.
@LastWordOnSpurs@SkySportsNews Such a poor decision by the Spurs board. Feels like they focused on reputation / individual player deals rather than the bigger picture around squad building, balance and long-term football structure. Who actually did the proper due diligence here? Just need to look online.
@LastWordOnSpurs 3. Why not others?
Adi Hütter — needs time, too open
Roberto De Zerbi — high risk, not a firefighter
Ryan Mason — lacks experience
Harry Redknapp / Glenn Hoddle — nostalgia ≠ solution
Jermaine Defoe — vibes, not survival plan
This is survival, not a project.
@LastWordOnSpurs 2. Sean Dyche > anyone else for THIS brief.
This isn’t about style or long-term fit.
It’s about getting 9–11 ugly points.
Low block. Set pieces. Game control. Emotional edge.
Remove chaos → survive.
@LastWordOnSpurs 1. ChatGP : You’re ex-Brighton Sporting Director, brought into Spurs for 1 job: Hire a manager for final games to keep them up.
Prioritise:
• Relegation experience
• Elite man-management
• Short-term impact
form is awful, defence is chaos, run-in is brutal. Who do you pick…
@SpursOfficial Destroying culture when what we need is someone to galvanise the team. He is not the short term answer, anyone with a football brain knows this. Better to go down fighting with someone like Dyche/Southgate/Houghton/Hoddle/Defoe. Worth paying £20m bonus to keep spurs in league.
@SpursOfficial Absolutely disgusting behaviour from our interim manager not to acknowledge the poor decision HE actually MADE and put an arm around a clearly struggling young goalkeeper - this is not leadership I’d expect from our manager. Terrible optics.
