#MeetYourself is one of those dramas that just quietly gets under your skin. It's slow, it's simple, and it doesn't try to be anything more than what it is.
Genuinely one of the best things I've watched in a long time 🤍
@lamentofpsyche Fake It Till You Make It...not really an office romance as the leads don't work at the same company, but if you want career-driven characters & business environment then this one is it. Its probably one of the more realistic portrayals of modern dating I've seen in a cdrama.
They were innocent. They were young. And they were so deeply in love.
They didn't even get a proper goodbye. Just life pulling them apart before they even knew what was happening.
Love was never the problem. It was never enough to save them 😭

@GusuCloud So true.. I feel dramas like meet yourself are genuinely rare gems that come along once in a while and just… sit with you long after they're done. you don't find those every day 🥹
strangers to best friends to lovers has my whole heart and I just accidentally created the perfect double feature, first with Fake It... and then Love Between Lines back to back, lol
Watching Love Between Lines and the clichés are really showing lol. Predictable, a bit overdramatic, tropes I've seen a hundred times. Though at this point maybe that's just what happens when you watch too many slice of life shows 😅
@VoiceOfChahat Oh, wow.
Don't think anyone can beat the leads chemistry in the original, but copying shouldn't be a problem considering how insufferable the mom in the show is, lol
and that line reframes everything. because once he says it, you look back at every small thing he did and realize that WAS him saying it. over and over again 🫠
"falling in love with you is a continuous process"
– You never told me that you loved me.
– Maybe love is not a noun. It's a verb. It can only be expressed through actions
Because Xu Ziqian doesn't say I love you the way drama heroes usually do.
He says it through through midnight snacks when Tang Ying is pulling overtime.
he says it through allergy medicine.
Through reading to her. Through reminding her not to work time.
none of these are grand gestures. they're just... consistent, unglamorous acts of care.
And none of it feels out of character. It just happens because he fell, completely and without planning to, and love changed his priorities from the inside out 😭
That's the kind of romance that gets me every time 🥹
Xu Ziqian in #FakeItTillYouMakeIt is such a perfect example of this. The man was a commitment-phobe, a workaholic, a flirt & playboy. Someone who probably thought settling down was a concept that applied to other people, and then Tang Ying happened.
There's nothing more romantic to me than watching someone completely transform when they fall hard for the right person. Not in a losing-yourself way but in that almost involuntary way where love just... rewires you 🫠
suddenly the guy who lived for overtime is reconsidering his entire r/s with work. Suddenly the man who flinched at the idea of something serious doesn't think twice before proposing. He even floats the idea of being a househusband which if u knw this character, is genuinely wild
