@msjosephsci @L_D_Washington I feel like asking teachers to remember their why is a way of asking teachers to forget the low pay and difficult parents. Because “good” teachers will do it for the kids. I think those of us who become/stay teachers, always know our why. Just my thoughts. 🙂

@WonderTeach Encourage them to take time to really get to know their kids. Give their students time to share with the class, even the smallest things. Kids need to know their voice is important and that there is at least one adult in their life who is their number one fan.

@JoeBiden I appreciate all of this. But please remember that schools are open. Teachers, para educators, & support staff are working hard to educate their students during a pandemic. We are doing something we (like many) have NEVER been trained for. Schools are open. Buildings are not.

@JoeBiden Please remember that schools DID NOT close. Just because a physical building is closed does not mean teachers are not staying up working to create engaging lessons for students or dealing with their own anxieties of how to continue to do their job well. #TeacherLife
