@OurNewHomecoach I have to go in and pretend to have applied for 12 jobs. I'm thinking I may focus on engineering and mining jobs, just for a laugh. For the record, I have a job, a permanent, part time job, can't work more hours because of physical limitations and caring responsibilities.
Short, short version - 410 Visa 25 years ago, promised permanent residency, that didn't happen, she now needs medical treatment that can't be gotten privately, so needs Medicare, was promised Medicare

@MaeAnnPhilo @Trixie_Boo I think it was means tested - I read that it was for under 16 years, pensioners and concession card holders. Did I get it wrong?
@Zahrasharaf9 @Tracey_Resistor@ArtistAffame And that "unreliability" is so incredibly stressful. On the good days, you're the best employee ever! Even on semi-bad days you can be great. But some days you just can't move or function, and that lets others in your workplace down, the guilt is huge.
@Zahrasharaf9 @Tracey_Resistor@ArtistAffame It's not about not wanting to work, it's about not being able to work. And even if and when you are able to work, despite a disability, you tend to be a bit unreliable compared to others - one day you are physically capable of working, the next you simply are not.
Hello matt I'm in your electorate and just wondering why you haven't signed the open letter by @ACOSS to increase the rate of welfare. We both know in Elizabeth there's a lot of poverty and disadvantage. So I'm hoping this is an oversight by you
I have a sneaking feeling that Diana would not have been able to keep a straight face throughout this, and that would have been fabulous ๐ฅฐ #Coronation
