Day 2 of Assessor Training: Exploring the skill of Cooperation and its stracture in the context of Mathematics, in preparation for the school-based data collection to develop learning progressions in 6 districts of Kampala/Wakiso, Mukono, Mubende, Oyam, Kabale and Tororo

The ALiVE team Uganda, @LGFnUg and @UwezoUganda, have embarked on a 2-day training of 60 assessors to conduct the school-based pilot data collection for the development of learning progressions for the skills of Creative Thinking, Problem Solving and Cooperation. The pilot will be conducted in 6 districts; Mukono, Kampala / Wakiso, Mubende, Kabale, Oyam and Tororo and is aimed at supporting the development of learning progressions for classes; P.6. S.1 and S.3 in a total of 72 schools targeting over 5000 learners.
The development of learning progressions is focused on working with the system to coherently integrate life skills in curriculum and assessment, inform teacher practice and guide development of life skills.

During the RELI Uganda 2025 Annual Convening, our colleague @FNMubiru shared highlights about @alive_programme and moderated a panel on integrating life skills and values in East Africa's education systems. The discussion drew on successes and lessons from ALIVE, providing valuable takeaways for the education sector and other key stakeholders.
