In the last 24 hours I have repeatedly started, then deleted, a post responding to the nasty anti-Muslim, racist attacks against @HamawyForNJ. I keep trying to find the words for the forceful, eloquent defense Dr. Hamawy deserves, but I can't. I'm too angry.

So let me be crystal fucking clear to the scum at that dishrag of a "newspaper", @nypost, the shameless editors of the @nytimes, the vapid hucksters of @FoxNews, and gutless cowards like @RepMikeLawler and @RepMoskowitz:

Adam Hamawy is a hero and a patriot with more courage and integrity than any of you could dream of.

Unlike Jared Moskowitz or Mike Lawler, he actually served this country in uniform, deploying to wars *we* started so he could stitch up our wounded troops. There are people who are alive today ONLY because Adam Hamawy was their doctor when it counted. One of them is your colleague, Senator Tammy Duckworth.

In Gaza, he pieced together children blown up by AMERICAN bombs you ghouls shipped over there. Bombs dropped by our supposed allies. They offered to evacuate him on account of his American passport. But he refused to leave his patients or his crew until the criminal apartheid state allowed a new rotation of doctors in.

That's a level of courage and moral conviction that neither Lawler or Moskowitz nor any other lawmaker participating in this nasty campaign could hope to achieve.

For you to question his patriotism or his Americanness in service to a foreign dictator is pathetic.

You trot out our troops like stage props when you want a photo op, but you wouldn't know real service if it was handed to you on a platter at an AIPAC dinner.

Your despicable smear against this war hero doctor spits in the face of everyone who has ever served. Including my father.

But the jig is up on your crybully routine. There's no amount of Islamophobic hysteria you can spin up that will make millions of Americans forget the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians you gleefully pushed into death, disease, and displacement with OUR money and weapons.

Whatever you're selling, only AIPAC is buying. Adam Hamawy is going to Congress, and you can go to hell.

⭕️ Over the last 24 hours, two Palestinians were killed and 40 were injured across Gaza. The total recorded death toll since October 7, 2023 has risen to 72,941 killed, with 172,967 injured.

Since October 11, the first full day of the so-called ceasefire, Israel has killed at least 932 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded 2,859, while 781 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Those were the words from a witness at scene of the Israeli massacre at Burj al-Moataz, a five-story residential building sheltering displaced families in Gaza City’s al-Rimal neighborhood. Israeli airstrikes targeted residential apartments in the building, igniting a massive fire and trapping families, including many women and children, inside.

The strikes killed 8 people, and wounded more than 45 others.

Israeli forces shot and killed 16-year-old Ammar Yasser Mohammad Ta’amrah in the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, Defense for Children International–Palestine (DCIP) reports. His killing on December 15 marks the 55th Palestinian child killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the occupied West Bank in 2025.

Ammar was struck in the chest around 4:30 p.m. while walking through the town center on his way to the bakery where his father works. Israeli forces had entered Tuqu’ and were firing tear gas and live ammunition at residents when he was shot.

There is this innate assumption within the power circles of Pakistan that ‘nothing’ will ever happen to the country, even if it continues on a disastrous trajectory.

🚨 UN: More than 760 displacement sites housing 850,000 people in Gaza face imminent flood risk

UN says 4,000 pallets of shelter materials have been rejected by Israel since the “ceasefire” began, even as 1.3 million people urgently need shelter support with a severe storm expected this week, the UN warns.

What little aid has entered since the ceasefire is reportedly only a “trickle.”

Relief is being blocked by Israel’s restrictive NGO registration system but Gaza urgently needs tents, tarpaulins, blankets, winter clothes, heavy machinery, tools, and other shelter supplies to avert catastrophe.

Past storms have flooded displacement camps, including with sewage and solid waste.
